A 19-year-old man from Mesa was killed when his car caught fire after an accident on Thursday.
The crash occurred at the intersection of McKellips and Falcon Drive when a car and a tow truck collided. The vehicle then caught on fire and witnesses tried to pull the teenager out of the car, but could not reach him because of the flames.
The police indicated that impairment was not a factor in the crash. The tow truck driver was uninjured.
