Tucson, AZ – Rollover accident leaves one teen dead and two in critical condition early Sunday morning.

Traveling at high speeds on a Tucson road a Jetta loses control near West Starr Pass and South La Cholla Road. The car veered into the dirt shoulder and crashed into a retaining wall.
Police responded to a call regarding a fire off the shoulder near the intersection. When they arrived at about 1:30 a.m., they found five teens and a rolled over Jetta engulfed in flames. The teens had been passengers of the Jetta.
Once the Jetta had entered the dirt road, it rolled over then bumped against the retaining wall igniting the vehicle. Two of the passengers, not wearing their seatbelts were ejected out of the vehicle on impact. One who was 16-year old male died.
Two teens were transported to the hospital in critical condition where they were in medically induced comas for treatment. The other two did not receive major injuries.
Police are investigating the case to see who the driver was and if anyone was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
