The U.S. 60 was partly blocked on Tuesday night because of a major six-vehicle crash at 8 p.m. The accident occurred on the eastbound side of the freeway and caused up to two hour delays in some spots.
Authorities said that the pouring rain probably played a large factor in the crash, indicating as well that the car that first spun out was speeding when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Several injuries were reported and the victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
