A five vehicle crash, including at least one motorcycle, shut down the HOV lane on U.S. Route 60 on Wednesday morning in Mesa.
Traffic was blocked all the way to Gilbert after the accident.
The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. It is unclear if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
