A sixteen year old was driving a vehicle under the supervision of his mother when it crashed near 23rd Avenue and Glendale. The vehicle veered off road, rolled over a few times hit a tree then landed on its roof.
The victims were transported to a local hospital where they are expected to recover.
While investigating the incident, detectives discovered a few elements that lead to the crash. One of those stemmed from a road rage incident involving the victim’s car and a truck.
A person in the car allegedly flashed an obscene hand gesture to the people in the truck who responded by tossing a bottle at the car. The mother instructed the teen driver to catch up to truck so she could take down the license plate. The teen then lost control of the car at high speeds veering off road and crashing.
