Peoria, AZ – Two motor vehicle accidents occurring minutes apart leave one man dead and a pregnant woman in the hospital Friday morning.

A motorcycle was hit near 99th and Olive Avenues by an SUV at about 7:30 a.m. The person driving the motorcycle was ejected from his seat and his motorcycle was totaled. When police and paramedics arrived, they found the man dead on the scene. The driver of the SUV was not reported to have had any injuries.
Minutes after responding to the motorcycle crash, another crash involving a pregnant woman occurred near the location of the first accident. The woman was rushed to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Other injuries were not reported.
From Olive Avenue to Loop 101 the road will be closed as police investigate the collisions for several hours.
