Yuma, AZ – A man was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital after being ejected from his motorcycle Sunday morning.

Paramedics attended to a man with severe visible injuries on Interstate 8 near Wellton which is miles northeast from Yuma. The victim, when he was questioned by paramedics, could not remember the crash. A witness saw the crash happen through his rear-view mirror at about 11:50 a.m.
The rider was heading westbound on I-8 at about 75 mph in Harley-Davison motorcycle when he drifted onto the dirt and lost control falling onto the roadway. The driver dialed 911 and attended to the rider who was found sixty yards into the brush. He waited with the rider until the paramedics arrived.
The man was lying on the median with a great deal of injuries to his legs and a helmet which he was wearing received major damage at the time of the crash. He was treated on the scene and airlifted to a Phoenix hospital.
