A man nearly died after he slipped and fell from an overpass above the Loop 101 into the busy traffic below.
The freeway was shut down in both directions at the Elliot Road overpass where the man fell.
The Chandler police department received a call around 8:15 a.m. regarding the man’s accident and responded immediately.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.
