An accident in Ahwatukee left two men injured on Tuesday morning when their vehicle hit a Honda Accord and rolled over, according to officials.
The crash occurred at about 7:15 a.m. at the corner of 48th Street and Elliot Road.
According to witnesses, the Accord was traveling northbound on 48th when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed the center lines and hit a Dodge pickup that was traveling in the opposite direction. The collision occurred just north of Elliot Road.
The driver of the Accord, a 60-year-old male, was trapped in the car for about 35 minutes, until he was rescued by emergency crews.
The driver of the Dodge was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
