Officials identified the Glendale man, Mark Justin Chapman, 24-years-old, after an investigation that was initiated since the time of the crash.
The accident happened near Northern Avenue southbound on Loop 101 when Chapman fell off his motorcycle onto the highway road at about 10:30 p.m. A passing semi-truck struck him while he was on the ground and fled the scene, leaving him lying on the center lane. As traffic slowed down to avoid hitting him, a teal-colored sedan drove around traffic, struck him and drove off.
Detectives are still searching for anyone who has further information regarding the sedan or the semi-truck that fled the scene. Clues such as parts of teal vehicle left at the scene are being further investigated.
