Police say that a jogger was killed on Wednesday morning when she was struck by a car on the Warner Elliot Loop.
The woman, who was about 50 years old, was running on the side of the road when the car went off the roadway and hit her. Police are trying to determine why the driver veered out of his lane, and they have not yet ruled out impairment.
The jogger was taken to a local hospital where she later died of her injuries.
