A man faces up to 36 years in prison after he pled guilty to manslaughter and aggravated DUI for hitting a bicyclist.
Edward Gomez Nava, 48, will attend his sentencing on April 16 in connection with the accident which occurred last September 4.
According to police reports, Nava was driving erratically on East Escalante Road near South Camino Seco when he hit Albert Eugen Brack, 56, who was riding his bike in the designated bike lane.
Brack was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Nava ran from the scene, abandoned his truck and was later caught by investigators.
