A student at a Tempe school was hit by a pickup truck while she was holding a car wash on Saturday to raise money for the school’s dance team.
The 16-year-old was working with a group of students when she crossed the street against the light and was hit and knocked back onto the curb.
The driver of the vehicle stopped to offer aid. Police do not believe that he was impaired.
The girl is a junior at the school. She is expected to recover fully from her injuries.
