Dozens of witnesses rushed to the scene of a car accident that occurred in a 35-mph zone near Flagstaff. Various news sources state that a Volvo sedan was traveling at an alleged excess of 80 mph in a low speed zone where the accident happened. Dawyesva Poseyesva a 25-year-old resident of Cornville was the driver and only person behind the wheel of the Volvo sedan.
Poseyesva lost control of the vehicle and it began to swerve and sweep the road incrementally until it crossed the roadway centerline. The vehicle went off road onto an uneven dirt surface filled with weeds and plants. It overturned at least once before it crashed into a barb wired fence. Poseyesva was ejected from the vehicle in the process. According to authorities Poseyesva was not wearing a seatbelt when the incident occurred.
When witnesses approached the scene, they expected to find an injured victim. Instead, they found a dead victim pinned underneath the vehicle. They immediately contacted authorities who rushed to the scene.
Rescue crews arrived alongside of Yavapai County Sherriff. The rescue crew pronounced the victim dead on the scene according to an YCS spokesman. A dusty and beaten car was all that remained.
Images of the vehicle can be found on publications around the web. The roof of the car is partially sunk, parts of its windshield are missing and a wire antenna near the trunk of the car is bent, all reminiscent of the car rolling over on the Arizona dirt road. What is the most daunting after viewing several images of the totaled car is that it is unclear whether the dark splotches running alongside of the driver’s side are oil. Some of those splotches run from the bent window frame of the driver’s door to the bottom of the passenger door on the driver’s side.
While rescue crews and authorities rush to the accident to assist the victims, they do not provide them with everything they need.
