A Colorado Rockies pitcher, who is stationed with the rest of the team in Scottsdale for spring training, was arrested on Saturday for drunk driving.
At about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, police officers stopped a black 2012 Chevy Tahoe that was traveling northbound on Hayden Road near Indian School Road.
The officer talked to the driver, Alex White, 23, and discovered that he had been drinking.
The driver failed the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer test. His blood-alcohol content was .174 percent.
White was arrested for extreme DUI.
