A Chandler man has succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident last weekend, according to authorities.
66-year-old Donald Doud was the passenger in a pickup truck that was struck by a Suburban at the intersection of Cooper and Riggs Road on Sunday morning.
According to Chandler police Det. Seth Tyler, the crash occurred when the Suburban entered the intersection when it had a red light.
Both the driver of the truck and Doud were ejected from the truck through the front windshield.
The driver of the Suburban and her son were both treated on-site for injuries.
The two men in the truck as well as a 7-year-old boy, who was sitting in the back seat, were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
