Teen Struck in West Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision that left a teen in critical condition in West Phoenix Monday evening February 17th. Authorities say that a 13-year old teenage girl was struck near the intersection of 75th Avenue and Osborn Road. The teenager had reportedly stepped into the road against a traffic signal and was struck by a pickup truck.
The driver of the truck was identified as a 70-year old man remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The man did not show signs of impairment. The teenage victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for life-threatening injuries. As of Tuesday she remains in critical condition according to medical personnel. Officials say there are no pending charges after the crash.
