A tractor trailer driver is at the center of an investigation Monday morning after the truck he was driving crushed another car and its driver.
The incident occurred at 4:15 a.m. on Interstate 17 near the Happy Valley Road exit.
The truck was apparently going south on Interstate 17 at about 60 miles per hour when a Saturn sedan entered the freeway. The truck then struck the driver’s side of the sedan.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
