Phoenix, AZ – A car crash knocks over an intersection traffic light Sunday afternoon.

North of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on 40th Street under Loop 202, a sedan and a Hummer SUV were involved in a collision. The sedan was traveling across the intersection when it was hit by the SUV which ran a red light. The impact of the collision flipped the sedan and pushed it against a traffic light that toppled over.
Although no persons involved in the accident received visible injuries, the driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
Police detained the driver of the SUV on suspicion of DUI and are investigating the accident.
