Phoenix, AZ – A car accident leaves a woman in critical condition on a Phoenix street Wednesday afternoon.

The woman, 27-years old, was riding as the passenger of a sedan attempting to take a left turn on the intersection of 7th Street and Northern Avenue at about 1 p.m. A utility truck heading north struck their vehicle in a T-bone manner crushing the passenger side of the vehicle. The sedan landed on the crosswalk and both vehicles were totaled.
Phoenix Fire Department extricated the woman and rushed her to a nearby hospital. She was treated for serious injuries and is in extreme critical condition. The drivers involved in the crash were treated for less serious injuries and have been released.
Phoenix police closed down the intersection for several hours as the scene was being cleared.The accident remains under investigation.
