At about 5:45 a.m., a Chevrolet Tahoe rammed a portable restroom trailer. The trailer was being towed by a labor service bus near County 13th Street and Avenue G. The drivers were the only people occupying the vehicles at the time of the accident.
Somerton/Cocopah Fire Department rescued the driver of the SUV who caused the T-bone type accident. He was transported to Yuma Medical Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening facial lacerations he received. The bus driver did not suffer injuries and denied hospitalization.
Yuma County Sheriffs and Somerton Police responded to the scene and are still investigating the accident.
