A collision in the northbound lanes of the Loop 101 freeway left one person critically injured and traffic backed up for miles on Wednesday morning in Phoenix.
The crash occurred at about 8 a.m. near the 7th Street exit in northern Phoenix. Traffic in the northbound lanes was backed up all the way to northern Scottsdale.
At least one person was reported injured and was transported to the hospital. Police speculate that accident was caused because one of the drivers had a medical emergency.
