1 man is dead and 2 other men are seriously injured after a pedestrian-vehicle collision in Glendale, about 9 miles northwest of Phoenix early Sunday morning, Nov. 12th. According to Phoenix Fire crews, they responded to reports of a crash involving 3 male pedestrians near the intersection of 45th Avenue and Camelback Road around 5:15 a.m. Officers and first responders arrived to find 1 man dead at the scene and 2 other men seriously injured. Phoenix Fire Department transported the 2 injured men, aged 18-years old and 21-years old, by ambulance to a local trauma center where they were listed in critical condition by the medical staff.
Glendale Police are investigating the deadly crash. It is believed the 3 men were in the eastbound lanes of Camelback Road when a car traveling eastbound hit them. After hitting the pedestrians, the car also hit a disabled vehicle, police said. The driver of the vehicle that struck the men stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities. According to Glendale police distracted driving us a possible cause of the fatal collision but they did not specify what distracted the driver.
