Phoenix Police and paramedics arrived to the scene of a young girl screaming and crying and a frightened mother. Attempting to get a better understanding of what happened, police questioned the mother and paramedics attended to her crying and injured daughter.
Prior to the arrival of the authorities, the mother had gone outside the house to move the van out of the driveway and park it on the street. When she was moving the van, her three-year-old daughter ran behind the van.
Without the knowledge of her daughters being in the way, the mother allegedly stepped on the gas and knocked over her daughter on her stomach. While the daughter was on the ground, she ran her over, crunching her back with the weight of the vehicle. According to ABC 15, the van came to stop on the girl’s back, when the mother peered out to investigate where she was stuck; she realized it was on her daughter’s back. She rolled off the van and called emergency services.
The daughter was injured, screaming and crying when paramedics attempted to lay her on the stretcher and into the ambulance. When they managed to get her on, she was trying to get off the stretcher. She was transported to a local hospital and the severity of her injuries was not reported.
