Peoria, AZ – A female pedestrian was injured and transported to the hospital when a car hit her Friday.

The pedestrian, a twenty-five-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street near 83rd and Olive avenues when a car hit her. She entered the roadway area and failed to yield to oncoming vehicles. Attempting the get to the other side of the street without the use of the crosswalk, a vehicle did not have enough time to stop and hit the woman.
She was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital the same day.
