Emmanuel Cordova, 39-years old, was traveling east on Palo Verde Street with two other men on motorcycles. Attempting to slow down to make a turn, he pressed the brake lever. The brakes of the motorcycle locked without warning and chucked Cordova over the handle bars and into the ground.
He was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix where he was treated for head injuries. Cordova was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Authorities are further investigating the case and are collecting further clues.
