Scottsdale, AZ – An elderly woman is struck by a passing vehicle on an intersection Friday night.

An 80-year old woman was caught in the middle of Via Linda and 96th Street intersection around 7:00 p.m. when the cross signal turned red. An oncoming Toyota sedan struck her. Having the right away, the sedan drove through the intersection and failed to stop. The older woman who was walking in the crosswalk was trying to reach the opposite side of the street.
She survived the impact and was rushed to the hospital by paramedics. She is being treated for life threatening injuries.
