A crash ejects a 3-year old from mother’s SUV killing him on impact in Maricopa.
The accident occurred Monday at around 5:30 p.m. near Anthony Boulevard and Bowlin Road.
Also an elementary school teacher, the mother of the victim was driving two other children in the back of the SUV, none of which had seatbelts. Her son, the youngest of her passengers, was ejected from the third row passenger seat from which he was ejected. The mother claims her son took his seatbelt off right before the accident happened.
The accident will be under investigation by five law enforcement agencies: Maricopa’s police department, county medical examiners, fire department, Pinal County Sheriffs, and Child Protective Services.
