Scottsdale Police arrested the intoxicated driver of a speeding vehicle that earlier collided with a SUV, ejecting and killing a woman in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Arizona Department of Public Safety received various concerned call regarding a speeding Chevrolet Impala cutting vehicles off in every lane Saturday at about 3 a.m. Reports state that the Impala was moving at speeds upwards of 80mph. The collision pushed the Nissan SUV causing it roll off the roadway, overturning the vehicle and killing the woman inside.
The driver admitted to hitting the SUV earlier after being pulled over. He admitted to having alcoholic drinks and was given a series of tests. Results assert his state of intoxication. He performed poorly on the field sobriety test, had blood alcohol level of 0.015 percent and urine results for THC – a chemical found in marijuana – came out positive.
He was arrested and is being charged with reckless manslaughter and criminal damage.
