Sun City West, AZ – A man is flown to a Phoenix hospital when a sedan hit a golf cart he was driving Friday afternoon near a golf resort.

A black Nissan sedan allegedly crashed with the golf cart at about 12:30 p.m. The collision occurred near Meeker Boulevard and Wilson Way. The man riding in the golf cart was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The impact caused the man to be ejected from the cart and hit the floor where he lay hurt.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and due to the severity of the injuries had to airlift the man to a hospital. The man was flown to Phoenix’s St. Joseph’s Hospital where they are equipped to handle critical injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
